Swing Left Events and Volunteer Opportunities 8-16

Welcome to Swing Left San Francisco!

Swing Left San Francisco is a grassroots organization advocating for every citizen’s right to vote and dedicated to flipping California’s 10th Congressional District. We are a regional chapter of the national Swing Left organization. Our goal is to support local activists in the district who want to replace Republican Jeff Denham in the House of Representatives with a Democrat in the 2018 Congressional elections.  We remain candidate-neutral until the Democratic primary is decided.

Our current activities include canvassing in District 10 for voter registration drives and cultivating relationships with local progressive groups and voters, phone banking into District 10 and fundraising for District 10.  As we approach the mid-term elections, these activities will change to reflect necessary tasks to turn District 10 and other California Districts from Red to Blue.

Whether it's canvassing in the District, registering voters, making calls, texting or writing postcards, there are ways for everyone to be part of the big blue wave that's about to inundate our country.

Join us at one of our upcoming events.

Less than 3 months left until the Midterm Elections! We have canvasses scheduled for each day of the Last Weekend (Nov. 4 - 6). Many volunteers will be going to the District, spending the night and canvassing the next day also. We will coordinate group dinners and are working on getting discount rates for a motel in the area so please consider this option. Stay tuned for more details....meanwhile, we have plenty of phone banks and canvasses to keep you busy throughout the fall!

Phone Banks to CA-21 & CA-10

Reach out to voters in CA-10 and 21 and get the word out about our great candidates, Josh Harder and TJ Cox.

The phone bank is open from 1pm–5pm at 301 Grove St., in San Francisco. Feel free to stop by at whatever time works best for you. Don't worry if you've never done phone banking before - we will train you on-site. Bring a charged cell phone AND a laptop, iPad, or tablet. Headphones are also useful.

Canvasses for Josh Harder

Come to our nearby flippable district, California 10. There's a short training on site before you're sent out in teams of two to knock on the doors of Dems or "Decline to States". Bring a smart phone, sun hat, and plenty of water. RSVP to get a carpool link.

"Bring you own lunch" picnic at 1:45 after the canvass. We hope you can stay and have lunch with each other, share experiences and enjoy yourself after helping save our country!
