Stand Up San Francisco Actions Update
ABOUT STAND UP SAN FRANCISCO
Stand Up San Francisco was founded on January 15, 2017 to resist the Trump agenda. As an Indivisible group based in California’s 12th congressional district, our mission is to apply pressure to our Members of Congress in order to delay, stall, or prevent any and all nominees, legislation, or orders forwarded by the Trump administration. Mitch McConnell has scheduled a September 4 hearing on Brett Kavanaugh's appointment to the Supreme Court. The Washington Post calls Kavanaugh "uncommonly partisan" and describes him as:
much like the man who selected him — highly divisive in his decisions and rhetoric.
This is the last thing America needs. Kavanaugh is a terrible choice for a lifetime appointee.
The good news is, it's not over. In our most recent office actions, Senator Feinstein's Sean Elsbernd and Senator Harris's June Williams both encouraged us to go out of district and appeal directly to the two people who could keep Kavanaugh off the court: Republican Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski.
